Review:-

Movie is based on true story, remember the 2008 murder case (well known as Neeraj Grover murder case), wherein a man (Neeraj) was murdered and his body was chopped into pieces in suburban Mumbai. Not A Love Story is inspired by the murder case. The film narrates what could've provoked such a brutal deed. The film delivers a fact that no one is bad at heart and that this kind of murder happens at the fit of rage at the moment. Not A Love Story delivers that some circumstances forces people to commit such heinous crimes.

The performances are solid at the start, only to dissolve into high-strung theatrics as the film goes on. Mahie Gill is believable as an ambitious North Indian girl with a halting English accent, wanting to break it into the movies, but Varma, in a clear bid for sympathy, exaggerates her character's vulnerability to an insane degree, and makes the poor actress spend a lot of time sobbing hysterically. Deepak Dobriyal  is, as always, very solid indeed, except that Varma increasingly pushes his character into that of a maniac, demonically sure of himself. Ajay Gehi, playing victim, is both believable and believably written. The rest of the cast is mostly let down by overdone dialogue, except Darshan Jariwala who sparkles briefly as a lawyer.

About Movie:- This Diwali be ready to treat your eyes with India’s first superhero flick in 3D. As per reports, the decision to turn the film fully into 3D was taken recently. Earlier, it was said that only some parts of the film will be converted in 3D but now certain action sequences were especially shot in July 2011 to add to the 3D experience.

In one of the scenes you can also see Shahrukh riding a bike from moon to the earth. For this particular part of the film, a futuristic bike was designed for Shahrukh by the art director Sabu Cyril.

Now, approximately 1200 people are working, that too, for nearly 24 hours on the VFX of Ra.One in India, to ensure that the movie releases on time. After the completion of the shoot Shahrukh turned very emotional and tweeted, “Ra.one shoot finally over. we start films so that we complete them fast...but when they finish there is a sense of emptiness as if a difficult but passionate relationship has come to an end. film making is like love....like falling from a building...but not feeling the impact or the hurt till you reach the end. Here’s to new beginnings...cos endings are just beginnings backwards.”

t is the story of a pawn and his calculated moves to reach the other end of the chess board. Revolving around vicious crime syndicates, the film starts with a game of chess being played between two characters; ‘Shroff’ (Kay Kay Menon) and ‘Tez’ (Gautam). Their each move unfolds the mystery and eventually the motive of their meeting. It is based on the quest of a small time pick-pocket ‘Fateh’ (Prashant Narayanan) and his ambitions to become a ‘Mamu’ (local area don).
First time director Ankush Bhatt chooses a difficult subject to deal with in his very first film; but achieves success only to some extent. Story by Kapil Gulati and screenplay by Ghalib Asad Bhopali underlines the gritty politics, feared hierarchy, unspoken rules, authoritative commands, shrewd intelligence, crafty wit and cold blooded betrayals, within the business.
While the first half has precious little to offer, the second half has various twists and turns which keeps your interest alive. The dialogues are strictly pedestrian; but in a way justifies the film of this genre.
Talking of performances, Kay Kay Menon appears in a brief role and although he does a fine job as usual, one would have expected him to be throughout the film. Prashant Narayanan plays to the gallery and looks his part convincingly. Pawan Malhotra and Piyush Mishra are terrific as always and the confrontation scenes between them create a high voltage drama. Deepti Naval gets limited scope while Shilpa Shukla is completely wasted. Vedita Pratap Singh does full justice to her role. Newcomer Gautam is inconsistent. While in some scenes he does well, in most others he is stiff. Shweta Verma has precious little to offer as her track is not developed fully.
